چکیده

Exoskeletons are companion devices that help a person to perform various daily activities. These can range from work medical rehabilitation. The type of activity performed depend on the construction and control exoskeleton, so some for only one arm, others both, be driven by motors directly or through cables. based information received position, force, speed sensors using EMG, EEG signals. Exoskeleton wearable began appear around 1980, as an aid in physical work, handling heavy objects. Over time, they also covered preventive-rehabilitation side, order reduce muscle pain restore specific movements, attenuated even missing following accidents diseases muscles. paper presents overview exoskeletons developed human arm.

Lower-Limb Wearable Exoskeleton

There are numerous causes that can affect the functioning of the human locomotor system, leading to the appearance of joint disorders in the lower limb and generating atypical gait patterns. The importance of research and development in assistance technologies to compensate pathological gait have been recognised since the beginning of the twentieth century and numerous challenges still lie ahea...

A Literature Review: Form Factors and Sensor Types of Wearable Devices

Introduction: Wearable devices can provide new ways of sensing users’ contexts [1]. Since they can be worn, wearable devices tend to have a higher context recognition rate than existing personal mobile devices [2]. For that reason, wearable devices can provide new functions based on context recognition to improve the usability and efficiency of services [3]. Form factors and sensors are used to...

Wearable Medical Devices

A wearable medical device can be defined as a device that is autonomous, that is noninvasive, and that performs a specific medical function such as monitoring or support over a prolonged period of time. The term ‘‘wearable’’ implies that the support environment is either the human body or a piece of clothing. Handheld and portable devices are therefore not strictly speaking wearable, but this d...

Communications for Wearable Devices

Wearable devices are transforming computing and the human-computer interaction and they are a primary means for motion recognition of reflexive systems. We review basic wearable deployments and their open wireless communications. An algorithm that uses accelerometer data to provide a control and communication signal is described. Challenges in the further deployment of wearable device in the fi...

Mechanical Analysis of Wearable Lower Limb Exoskeleton for Rehabilitation

This paper presents the mechanical analysis of a lower limb exoskeleton for rehabilitation for both legs that was developed in University Putra Malaysia (UPM). The main objective of the project is to develop a wearable exoskeleton system based on the average height of Malaysian to enhance the wearability of the system to lower limbs. An anthropomorphic design was adopted in the prototype with p...
